Delegated Access & Managed Accounts Policy (Parents, Guardians, and Educators) 1. Purpose and Scope This Policy governs the delegation of access to licensed digital content by parents, legal guardians, and educators (“Managers”) to child or student accounts (“Managed Accounts”) created and administered by them on the Platform. This Policy is designed to enable family and educational use of licensed content while preserving compliance with applicable law, third-party license terms, and platform governance requirements. This Policy applies to all content formats, including but not limited to games, software, films, audiovisual works, digital assets, and interactive media, whether first-party or third-party licensed. 2. No Ownership Transfer Delegated access does not constitute a sale, transfer, assignment, or conveyance of ownership or license rights. All licenses remain held exclusively by the Manager or the relevant institution. Managed Accounts are permitted users only and acquire no ownership, transfer, sublicensing, resale, or monetization rights in any licensed content. 3. Delegated Access Eligibility Managers may delegate access to licensed content only where: the Manager is the lawful holder of the applicable license; the applicable license terms permit household, dependent, or educational use; the Managed Account is created, verified, and actively administered by the Manager; access is configured in accordance with Platform controls and policies; and the content made accessible under the license is age-appropriate for the Managed Account user in accordance with the Platform’s Age Rating and Content Classification policies, including any restrictions applicable to sexual or adult-oriented material. Delegated access is non-exclusive, revocable, and limited to personal, non-commercial use unless expressly permitted otherwise. 4. License Quantity Limits Delegated access is subject to license quantity limits. Each active user of a licensed item (including Managers and Managed Accounts) counts toward the total number of licenses owned. If the number of Managed Accounts accessing a licensed item exceeds the number of licenses held, the Manager must acquire additional licenses to remain in compliance. The Platform may restrict, suspend, or revoke access where license limits are exceeded. No license may be shared concurrently beyond the number of copies owned, unless expressly permitted by the licensor. 5. Manager Responsibilities Managers are solely responsible for: ensuring compliance with all applicable license terms; supervising access and use by Managed Accounts; configuring age-appropriate permissions and restrictions; revoking access when required; and ensuring that Managed Accounts do not engage in prohibited conduct, including resale, sublicensing, or monetization. The Platform is not responsible for misuse arising from delegated access. 6. Retraction and Revocation of Access Managers may retract delegated access at any time through Platform controls. The Platform may also revoke or suspend delegated access without notice where: license limits are exceeded; the Manager’s account is suspended or terminated; a Managed Account violates Platform policies; required verification or consent is withdrawn; or continued access would violate law, regulation, or licensor requirements. Revocation of access does not entitle any user to a refund, replacement, or continued availability. 7. Account Graduation (Child to Adult Accounts) When a child account reaches the age of majority and graduates to an adult account: Delegated access does not automatically transfer or convert into an independent license. Delegated licenses enter a temporary grace period, during which access may continue solely to allow transition. Continued access after the grace period requires: explicit reauthorization by the original Manager, where permitted by license terms; or independent acquisition of the applicable license by the adult account holder. If reauthorization or independent licensing does not occur within the grace period, access will automatically expire. 8. Educational Accounts For student accounts managed by educators or institutions: the institution remains the license holder; students are permitted users only; access is limited to the duration of enrollment or authorization; and access automatically terminates upon unenrollment, withdrawal, or institutional revocation. 9. No Expectation of Permanence Delegated access is inherently temporary and conditional. Users should not expect delegated content to remain accessible indefinitely, including after account changes, license expiration, account graduation, or Manager revocation. 10. Consumer Disclosure The Platform may display notices, labels, or prompts indicating: that content is accessed via delegated authorization; that ownership has not transferred; and that continued access is subject to change. Such disclosures are provided to ensure transparency and compliance with consumer-protection standards. 11. Reservation of Rights The Platform reserves the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue delegated access features at any time to maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, technical, or licensor requirements.
